- 9/30/2025
In the United States, September 30 is the National Day of Remembrance for Indian Boarding Schools. It honors the thousands of Native American children who were forcibly taken from their homes and sent to these institutions, where many suffered abuse and cultural erasure. In support of reconciliation and healing efforts, people are encouraged to wear orange shirts and reflect on this history.
