We’re excited to invite all students, families, and staff to participate in National Walk & Roll to School Day, a nationwide celebration that promotes healthy habits, safety, and community spirit!
On this special day, we encourage everyone to walk, bike, or roll (skateboard, scooter, wheelchair—whatever wheels you’ve got!) to school.
Why Participate?
🚶♀️ Promote Physical Activity Walking or rolling to school is a fun and healthy way to start the day!
🚗 Reduce Traffic Congestion Fewer cars around school means safer drop-offs and less pollution.
🚸 Increase Awareness of Pedestrian Safety Use this opportunity to teach your child how to walk, bike, or roll safely—look both ways, follow traffic signals, use crosswalks, and always stay alert.
🌱 Support Environmental Sustainability Every step or roll helps reduce our carbon footprint and protect our planet.
Whether you live close by or can park a few blocks away and walk the rest, every effort counts. Let’s make this a fun and impactful day for our school community!
While all color-coded gates will be open as usual, the celebration will take place at the gate next to the office on Oso Ave., in front of the school. Students who walk, bike, or roll to school should enter campus through this gate. We'll welcome students with fanfare and fun, and students entering through the main gate will receive a festive sticker to celebrate the day.
